TUBI CUBI
TUBI CUBI freeze-dried Tubifex worms. Natural food in the form of cubes for omnivorous and carnivorous fish. It is obtained through freeze-drying of Tubifex worms (Tubifex tubifex). Tubifex worms are very eagerly eaten by the fish and aquatic turtles. They provide easily digestible protein. When served fresh, they may be the source of dangerous pathogens. Freeze-drying technique eliminates all the organisms, which cause numerous diseases. At the same time it helps retain delicate vitamins, unsaturated fatty acids, protein and other nutrients, making Tubifex an extremely valuable natural feeding solution. It can be applied dry or soaked beforehand.

They are often found in highly organic environments rich in decaying organic matter, such as sewage or organic-rich sediments.

These worms are known for their ability to tolerate low oxygen levels and polluted environments, which has led to their use as indicator species for water quality assessments. Their presence in large numbers can indicate poor water quality, as they thrive in polluted or oxygen-deprived conditions.
In some cases, Tubifex worms are also used as live food for aquarium fish and as bait for fishing. However, due to their association with polluted environments, they are not typically considered a desirable food source for humans.
